The Nude Collection

If you are a Kylie Jenner worshiper then you will be very familiar with one of the shades "Whirl". Now then I am not the sort of person who tends to follow the crowd (I'm a unicorn, not a sheep!) and I certainly couldn't give two cows about the Kardashian's but after hearing and seeing so many beauty bloggers talk about "Whirl", I knew it was time to cave in and see what all the commotion was about. I couldn't go to MAC and just buy one thing could I!? So I also thought I would stock up on the Stone shade too from the Matte Collection.

MAC "Whirl" lip liner is one of the most popular MAC lip liners of the moment, how do I know this? Because of

1. Social Media
2. My local MAC counters never have it in stock when I actually want to try it out.

Luckily one of my friends was lucky enough to grab hold of the lip liner and was ever so nice to let me try it on. I haven't really seen many WOC wear this shade so when I was caving in to buying the lipstick version (as I do believe lipsticks last longer than liners) I was having major palpitations to it not suiting my complexion because there has been some speculation that it was not the same shade as the lip liner it self, but I must admit "Whirl" lipstick is a beautiful shade on my skin. I was super relived when I tried it on because it actually looks a little darker than the original shade. This is definitely going to be part of my nude lipsticks alongside "Stone" when I wear smokey eyes and heavy contour.

I am so glad MAC have released "Whirl" and "Stone" in lipstick form because sometimes wearing lip liner as a lip shade can be way too drying and I can't exactly meet my potential future husband with crusty dry lips now can I!?
